As Malaysia prepares to host the ASEAN Year of Skills (AYOS) 2025, HRD Corp’s recent visit to Indonesia marked a key milestone in building momentum toward regional collaboration in human capital development. The visit aimed to secure support, align strategic efforts, and explore funding opportunities critical to the success of AYOS 2025.
During the mission, the HRD Corp delegation engaged with several key stakeholders, including government agencies and international organisations such as the Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan Republik Indonesia (KEMNAKER) and the UNESCO Jakarta Office. These high-level discussions reinforced HRD Corp’s pivotal role in shaping workforce development policies across the ASEAN region while fostering innovation and sustainable skills growth.
Productive meetings with KEMNAKER highlighted Indonesia’s strong interest in Malaysia’s National Training Week (NTW) model. This demonstrated a shared commitment to regional collaboration in developing a skilled, future-ready ASEAN workforce.
Further engagements with the UNESCO Jakarta Office and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan provided valuable insights into expanding Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiatives and integrating digital learning platforms. These initiatives aim to amplify HRD Corp’s impact beyond Malaysia, driving inclusive, tech-enabled workforce development throughout ASEAN.
Overall, the visit laid a strong foundation for future collaboration and affirmed HRD Corp’s position as a regional leader in human capital development. Moving forward, HRD Corp will continue to leverage global expertise and cross-border partnerships to accelerate sustainable workforce growth across the region in support of AYOS 2025 and beyond.
